Welcome to ScrapbookingDirections.com.  This site is owned and primarily updated by myself, Cijaye DePradine (creative Internet Marketer – who LOVES everything and anything to do with homemade crafts).

The site was launched initially as a resource to help others learn Scrapbooking.  But it has certainly evolved from that purpose in many ways as well.  Today, Scrapbookers and crafters can utilize Scrapbooking Directions as an ideas hub (where people can ask for scrapbooking album or page ideas – and get a response from myself or others).

In addition to this (as part of our expansion plan for 2012) – the site is slowly growing to be more INDUSTRY driven as well. It is our goal to start sharing the love more.

We beta tested this concept in 2009 – when we interviewed Scrapbooking Experts Cathy Zielske and Ali Edwards.  We regularly get hits to those pages and compliments by email that they were valuable to our readers.  It put a spark under us to do more.  Now, we are hoping to begin profiling and featuring other scrapbook experts, suppliers, website and blog owners that we feel our visitors would appreciate knowing about.

But back to our roots of teaching others how to scrapbook: we still do this in many ways.

We share free scrapbooking ideas whenever they come to us or our users ask for them.  We compile our scrapbooking ideas into downloadable books for sale. (This is to offset our dedication to free stuff and to keep the site alive). We feature, profile and interview OTHER scrapbookers/scrapbooking site owners. AND we occasional throw out random goodies to see if they will stick.

Are we experts at scrapbooking, no, not exactly. Though, Cijaye DePradine (site owner and primary author) has been doing varying levels of scrapbooking since she was a little girl!  It started with her sticker albums (remember those), moved onto scrapbooked photo albums and high school agendas, it moved onto repurposed text books – and then handmade birthday cards and scrapbook pages.

But, like many of our visitors Cijaye doesn’t always have enough time in the day to pump out new pages and new innovative concepts like others have.  She would LOVE to, but this business is a HOBBY business for Cijaye…she also runs a successful Internet Marketing Agency and coaches Internet Business Owners.

Cijaye does dream to some day to go full time with Scrapbooking Directions, but in the effort to keep product prices low and the site running simultaneously – she simply cannot make that transition yet.

What we can do is keep sharing as time permits and work with others to do the same.  We share everything that we can. When we can.  We are currently trying to transform this website into a more user friendly and industry supported location.  With nearly 5000 visitors per month and climbing we know we aren’t going anywhere.

Many of the people to this site are beginners, wishing to make a scrapbook for the first time. They are brand new to the concept or they have seen someone else’s scrapbooks and got that “buzz” that makes all newbies and veterans want to become advanced scrapbookers. 

We have also started to draw an audience for people who wish to make money from scrapbooking as well. With a background in Corporate Training and Development in areas such as Business Development and Marketing (heavily on the Internet Marketing side) – Cijaye DePradine intends to support all scrapbookers with this desire as well.

Her team of experts in Scrapbooking will help bridge the distance.
